How to solve the problem if the edge of the label is taken up along with the waste when die-cutting?

Coptics Laser

It is commonly happend by using mechanical die-cutting for labels  , that is the waste discharge is usually called flying labels.

The traditional die-cutting tool cannot completely cut through the surface of the rubber material, and it is very easy for the label to be taken away by the edge of the scrap. Due to die-cutting, the edge discharge of the label is very regular. Basically, the label and the waste edge are glued to the same position of the label. Multi-modal blanking, the position of the die is fixed. The main reason for this problem is that the die cutter is damaged and the die cutting pressure is uneven.

This is not difficult to solve, you only need some hours to replace the damaged blade or adjusting the die-cutting pressure. Special attention should be paid that sometimes due to uneven pressure, the cutting die of some parts will be more severely worn than other parts. When using this die-cut label, although there is no obvious damage to the surface of the cutter, it is easy to produce continuous die-cutting. The method to determine whether the tool wear is serious and cause continued cutting is to understand the die cutting depth of the backing paper. If there are obvious indentations on the bottom paper and the surface layer is continuous, you should consider replacing the mold.

There is no need to worry about such problems when using laser die cutting, because the laser is non-contact cutting, and there is no need to change the tools, more convenient and easy to operate.
