Copper foil is a very thin, like paper only with thickness of microns which is usually 5um-135um.The difficulty of copper foil cutting is that the cutting edge is  carbonized, there is no burr, and it is difficult to keep the copper foil from deforming.

Ordinary laser cutting machines have great thermal influence, different directions of use, and low precision. When the edges are carbonized, the thermal effect of the edges is the warping and deformation of the copper foil.

It is best to use a cool laser light source when cutting copper foil. Such laser has little thermal effect on the processed material, small processing gap, smooth processing edge, and no burrs. It is especially suitable for cutting ultra-thin metal materials such as copper foil and ultra-thin metal alloys.
